Santa Barbara Engagement: Blake + Priscilla

On Thursday, we had the pleasure of driving Blake over to Santa Barbara  to meet up with his fiance Priscilla for their engagement session. Blake and Priscilla have been in school together since kindergarten. In 4th grade, these two little love birds both forgot to do their homework and were asked to leave the classroom. It was then that they shared their first tears together:)It will definitely not be the last time. They are getting married later this year and we feel so privileged that they chose us to be a part of their day. Please enjoy the images and notice that they have represented the Laker Nation well:)

For more from their engagement session, please see the slideshow below:)

Noriega House Wedding: Eli + Katie 04.27.12

Back in January, Stacie & I met with a couple we knew would be more than clients. Most of our clients become friends but we saw something in Katie & Eli that reminded us of our love story. “They are just babies!” Stacie said as they walked out the door of our office after our consultation. Eli is 21 and Katie is just 19. Their love is so innocent and we are so thankful they chose us to capture it. We have created memories together that Stacie & I will never forget. They introduced us to World of Color at Disneyland after we shot their engagement session. They joined us at a Third Day concert a few weeks before their wedding. We have enjoyed every minute of this friendship and look forward to seeing God continue to grow it and develop it! They were even kind enough to be guinea pigs for Stacie’s first wedding as a 2nd shooter (which she rocked!!!) I could go on and on about this fabulous couple but sometimes I need to let the pictures do the talking:)

This past Friday, Katie & Eli became one at the amazingly beautiful Noriega House in downtown Bakersfield! This local venue was a joy to photograph. We really enjoyed working alongside Nikki & Danielle. They are extremely organized, helpful, and happy people! Brides…if your wedding will be held in Bakersfield, make sure you consider this amazing venue! Please enjoy the images below. The slideshow is also available in HD if you select 720p.

Orange County Disneyland Engagement: Eli + Katie

Over Spring Break, we had the privilege of capturing Eli’s love for Katie at the wonderful world of Disney! Eli proposed to Katie on the bridge near the magical castle. Stacie and I had the joy of reenacting this special moment with our couple and watched as they created many more memories inside the park. We had so much fun walking around, chatting, eating some great food, and even going on a few rides. Our favorite part of the evening was definitely experiencing the “World of Color” for the very first time. Katie and Eli are seasoned veterans when it comes to everything Disney and assured us that we wouldn’t get soaked in the wet zone….turns out they were right and we had the best seat in the house:)Enjoy a few of the moments we were able to capture! We are looking forward to their Noriega House Wedding in Bakersfield, CA at the end of this month!!

Los Angeles Headshots: Adam McArthur

18 years of formal training in Martial Arts. 3-time National champion in Kung Fu. Currently ranked 8th in the U.S for contemporary Kung Fu. Black sash in Kung Fu and Wushu. Ikkyu in Judo. If being a stud at martial arts paid for a living…Adam would be filthy rich:)Adam Mcarthur was my roommate at Pepperdine University. His work ethic and drive was always inspiring. His character is admirable. His passion for life and people is unmatched. Many times in between studying and socializing in college, Adam was driving to Burbank, CA for auditions almost daily. Having Adam as a roommate gave me a glimpse into what an actors life is all about. You can’t lose hope…those that do quit. You audition all year long to potentially book 3-4 jobs if you are lucky. Adam doesn’t know the word QUIT! (Literally, I don’t think he can spell it:)I enjoyed a time in college where Adam came home three consecutive weeks with news of a new commercial job each week!:)At&t, Sprite, and Six Flags Magic Mountain were the latest commercials that I would get to see and tell everybody I know, “See that guy….that’s my boy!” He has had the luxury of booking 18 National Commercials in his time acting. He also does a ton of voice over work. His latest lead was as the character Prince Lee Char in the Star Wars: Clone Wars series.

On Sunday, I had the privilege of capturing a few Commercial Headshots in Los Angeles, CA for his portfolio, see them below:)

Be sure to check back next Tuesday for an awesome sneak peek at the weekend we have planned ahead! Orange County Engagement Sessions planned at two fabulous locations:)

Bakersfield Engagement Photography: John + Adrianna

This past Friday, Stacie and I had the privilege of hanging out with John & Adrianna in downtown Bakersfield. The evening was so effortless and enjoyable as this couple seemed prepared in a sense. They were able to relax and be comfortable behind the lens which isn’t easy to do at times. They were constantly smiling, laughing, and adoring each other which made our jobs fun and easy. We kicked off the evening by The Green Thumb (a store in downtown Bakersfield that I am sure I will see many times on our credit card statement now that Stacie has discovered it:)and ended our evening with dinner at Sandrini’s Italian & Basque restaurant.  Along the way, we stopped by the lovely Hair Inc. Salon where one of Stacie’s former colleagues made the plunge into the wonderful world of owning your own business. Check out their Facebook fan page here and give it a “Like.” We can’t wait for their Bell Tower Club wedding in October. Enjoy the images and be sure to check out their slideshow at the bottom for even more from this lovely engagement session!
